JC Feyer

Born in 1978 in the state of Pernambuco, JC moved to Rio de Janeiro in his childhood with a dream of becoming a film director. JC has been involved with performing arts for most of his life participating in several theatre companies since his early days. Cinephile, enthusiastic, and very self motivated, JC started his career at 19 years old as an assistant director, working with the most relevant production companies on several advertisement commercials. JC started his career in the film industry as an assistant director to Julio Bressane on the features “Days of Nietzsche in Turin” (2001) and “A Love Movie” (2003). Julio Bressane is one of the most relevant authors and experimental filmmakers from Brasil. Globally recognized for his visionary work, his filmography has been celebrated by film festivals around the world.

In 2002, JC debuted as a director splitting his time between the film industry and advertisement works. His first short film “Ballad of Two Little Girls from Botafogo” based on the poem from Vinicius de Moraes was released in 2006 and reached an audience of more than 11 million in Latin America with great acceptance by the industry and several film festivals worldwide, winning among others the first place on the ‘AXN Film Festival’ from 540 competing shorts.

As a director, JC has been working with some of the most important ad agencies worldwide such as AFRICA, VMLY&R, W-MCANN, OGILVY, BBH, NBS, F-BIZZ, ARTPLAN, and DPZT, for major clients such as BRAHMA (INBEV), OI, VIVO (TELEFONICA), TIM, CLARO, ITAÚ, BRADESCO, RENAULT, GM, PANASONIC, SADIA, NESTLÊ, YPÊ, NATURA and O BOTICÁRIO, and Winning 2 Lions at the renowned Cannes Lions Creativity Festival in France.
