shy kids are a directing collective from Toronto, Canada that are known for their novel use of technology to deeply humanistic stories.

Dubbed “punk rock pixar” the group uses their years working in VFX / Motion Graphics / animation / and live action shooting to make poignant work that uniquely encapsulate the modern age. Most recently, they created “air head” the first ever short film using OpenAI’s revolutionary technology “Sora” which went viral, showing audiences that, regardless of new tech, stories are the most important ingredient. Their work garnered Emmy nominations and been long-listed for the Oscars.

Now, shy kids is engaged in projects for leading entertainment platforms such as Disney, HBO, AMC, and Netflix.
