Over a decade-long career in advertising, Rachel wrote many award-winning TV ads before moving to the director’s chair. After a series of successful short films, her debut black comedy feature “Deadly Cuts” premiered as the closing gala at the 2021 Virgin Media Dublin International Film Festival, where she picked up the prestigious Discovery Award. It went on to become the most successful Irish film of 2021, with the biggest opening weekend for an Irish female director in almost 20 years. It remains in the top ten of Ireland’s most watched films on Netflix, and a spin-off series is currently in development..
Her quick wit, great gags and comedy chops are what make her work infectious. She has a keen eye for human nature that she uses to craft laugh-out-loud moments that are packed with charm.
Rachel lives in Dublin where you’ll usually find her writing or riding a horse. Rarely both.
