Angela Barnes is a director and writer known for her sharp eye, quick wit, and gift for balancing humor and heart.

She’s directed episodes of Atlanta, Loot, Mythic Quest, Killing It, and Blindspotting, and won the NAACP Image Award for Directing for her work on Atlanta. She’s also the creative force behind 2020’s viral voting PSA Get Your Booty to the Poll, which she conceived, produced, and directed.

Angela made her commercial debut in 2024 with a bold Old Spice campaign via Wieden+Kennedy. She’s currently stepping into the Marvel universe with Ironheart, premiering on Disney+ in June 2025.

Angela is based in Atlanta where she lives with her two kids and their cat.
