WAYNE McClammy
Wayne McClammy kicked off his directing career filming comedy segments for Jimmy Kimmel Live! on ABC.
After creating dozens of viral sketches for Kimmel, Wayne eventually directed “I’m Fucking Matt Damon” which earned him an Emmy and made the ongoing Kimmel/Damon feud the stuff of late-night legends. He went on to direct two seasons of the hit Comedy Central show The Sarah Silverman Program, as well as multiple side projects with Silverman, including the viral video “The Great Schlep” which was viewed over 1 billion times. Wayne has also written and sold five feature films, all of which are currently set up at major studios.
Since joining Hungry Man, Wayne has shot multi-national campaigns for world’s largest brands, including Amazon, Apple, Nike, Call of Duty, Verizon, GEICO, Madden, and hundreds more. His work has led to awards at every advertising ceremony under the sun, including The One Show, Clios, D&AD, AICP Awards, and dozens of Cannes Lions. Wayne is considered one of the most viral commercial directors out there, racking up tens of millions of views every year, including directing the number two most viral video of 2013 with the GEICO spot, “Hump Day.”
His directorial work with Amazon has consistently been ranked in the Top 3 on USA Today’s AdMeter. 2021’s “Alexa’s Body,” starring Michael B. Jordan scored Wayne an Emmy nomination as well as nabbing awards from Cannes, D&AD, The One Show, Clios, British Arrows, and
several AICP nominations. 2022’s “Mind Reader” starring Scarlett Johansson and Colin Jost was named #2 spot of the game and #1 in Fast Company’s 5 Best Super Bowl ads of the year. 2023’s “Saving Sawyer” ranked #3 overall on USA Today as well as #1 Most Inspirational Spot of the Game. Along with his Super Bowl work, Wayne’s recent Apple spot “Everyone but John Hamm” was nominated for a 2022 Emmy Award for Outstanding Commercial. But let’s face it, all Wayne really wants to talk about is the cute dog that keeps interrupting your zoom meeting.
